Policy:  

All faculty and staff of the University are to refrain from the use of social security
numbers and student names in any public use, e.g., posting grades, room seating charts, validation of class rolls, and selected lists. Grades should never be posted using
names or social security numbers. Other numbers or means of identification (determined by the student and/or instructor) can be used in posting grades. If posted, grades should be listed in random order (not alphabetical) so that students can in no way be identified with their grades.
