Application for Admission

International Applicants

Louisiana Tech University requires international applicants to have their foreign transcripts translated into English. If your transcripts are not originally in English and the college/university you attended does not provide a translation into English, you must upload a separate file of a translation in English for each of your non-English transcripts. Applicants should request that these translated documents be sent directly to the Office of the Registrar of Louisiana Tech University, Room 207 Keeny Hall, Keeny Circle- #3155, Ruston LA  71270,  along with official original transcripts from the institution.

Letters of Recommendation

Letters of Recommendation are submitted directly through the application system by the recommender.  You will need to have the Name, Mailing Address, Position, Telephone Number, and Email Address of those who will be submitting a letter of recommendation on your behalf.

If you have already secured Letters of Recommendation and have hard copies, you can mail them to:

The Letters of Recommendation will be attached to your application.  Please notify the Graduate School by email gschool@latech.edu  if you will be sending hard copies of your Letters of Recommendation so we may waive this requirement in your application.  Scanned and emailed copies of Letters of Recommendation can also be loaded into your application.  These can be emailed to gschool@latech.edu.    Review your program’s website for additional information that may be required to process your application.


If you have not attended Louisiana Tech University for only one quarter, please complete the Graduate Readmission Application-One Quarter Leave. No fee required.

If you have not attended Louisiana Tech University for two or more quarters, please use our online Graduate Application. Payment of the $40 application fee may be made online when submitting your application or in person to the Comptroller’s office located in Keeny Hall (cash, check or credit card).
