Louisiana Documents

Prescott Memorial Library has an extensive collection of Louisiana state documents. Serving the 5th Congressional District, the Library has been a member of the Louisiana Public Document Depository Program since 1948, and became a historical state document depository in 2012.

Title 25, section 124.1 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes requires state depository libraries to “make public documents accessible to the public, and to render free service in their use.”

Louisiana Documents in paper format are located on the 2nd floor of Prescott Library. They do not circulate. A photocopier, at the cost of $0.10 per page, and a scanner are available on the 2nd floor.
