Exemptions

In the following cases a fee for Bulldog Bundle will not be assessed and the student/course will be reported to Barnes & Noble as opted out of the program.  

While a student may be opted out for all courses, there are certain courses themselves that are not included in Bulldog Bundle eligibility. In this case, the student may participate for other courses but the non-eligible courses will be marked as opted out. 

Exempted cases

  • Student who opts out of the program via BOSS. This opt out will be for all courses for the student for the current quarter. Flag will be reset each quarter and student must opt out again if they do not wish to participate.
  • Graduate students cannot participate in the program. They are automatically opted out.
  • Dual Enrollment students/courses cannot participate in the program. They are automatically opted out.  
  • CompeteLA students cannot participate in the program. They are automatically opted out.
  • The following courses, identified by section numbers, do not participate in the program and are marked as opted out. For items listed with two numeric digits this would any section ending with those two digits.  For the two items with “E” and “Z” sections, this would be any sections starting with those two letters.  This applies to any course number that has these section numbers:
    1. Louisiana Tech at Shreveport Center – Sections 80 and 81
    2. Study Abroad – Section 82
    3. Extension classes taught in non-LaTech classrooms – Sections 87-89
    4. WWW classes (Online Only Classes **) – Sections 91 and 92
    5. Tech Barksdale compressed video classes – Section 93
    6. Tech Barksdale classes – Sections 94-96
    7. Tech Barksdale internet classes – Section 97
    8. Professional Practice / Internship – Sections 98 and 99
    9. Credit Examinations – Sections E** (All sections beginning with E)
    10. Senior Adult Exercise Classes – KINE 206 all sections
    11. Bossier Parish Community College and Louisiana Delta Community College cross enrollment classes – Sections Z** (All sections beginning with Z)

* Section numbers in which a student is enrolled can be found on the student’s schedule

** WWW classes are those sections designated as always online.  This does not include course sections taught online or partially online due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.
