Student organizations
The Office of Multicultural Affairs sponsors and assists a number of student organizations in order to foster leadership opportunities and promote and honor diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion. These organizations also assist University leadership in gaining a greater understanding of needs and services for diverse populations at Louisiana Tech University.
Black Student Union
The purpose of Black Student Union is to enlighten, empower, educate and entertain students with an emphasis on the African American perspective. We seek to edify ourselves first and as a result, the larger Tech Community. This edification is done in order to promote awareness, while sparking action and igniting change for a more inclusive, embracing multicultural community.

The Society of Distinguished Black Women, Incorporated
The Society of Distinguished Black Women strives to maintain unity in the black community as well as the black family; promoting community service and political awareness, all while emphasizing sisterhood.

United Afrikan American Men
United Afrikan American Men stands to uplift the plight of all African-Americans. The members of UAAM strive to promote similar ideas, scholarship, unity, and service (on and off campus) within the African-American community. The organization will also instill the importance of historical, political, and economic awareness among the black masses.

National Society of Black Engineers
NSBE‘s mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.

National Pan-hellenic Council, Incorporated (NPHC) of Louisiana Tech University
The Louisiana Tech chapter of NPHC is comprised of three international Greek letter organizations officially recognized by the national office of NPHC and chartered at Louisiana Tech University: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The purpose of the NPHC is to initiate cooperative actions, maintain and oversee programs, activities, matter of mutual concern, and serve as a united voice of representation for all affiliated fraternities and sororities.

Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated - Kappa Chi Chapter
The KapD.I.V.A.ting Kappa Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on the campus of Louisiana Tech University on January 26, 1974. As a sorority we pride ourselves in sisterhood, scholarship and service. Our mission is to serve the campus of Louisiana Tech University as well as the surrounding community of Ruston, LA by implementing programs that support the sororities 5 Point Thrust.
