Student Organizations

Purpose

AED is a Premedical Honor Society. The mission of our society is to promote academic excellence and provide service. Mission Statement: 1. To encourage excellence in premedical scholarship. 2. To stimulate an appreciation of the importance of premedical education in the study of medicine. 3. To promote cooperation and contacts between medical and premedical students and educators in developing an adequate program of premedical education.4. To bind together similarly interested students. 5. To provide service for the benefit of health organizations, charities, and the community.

Membership requirements

- Minimum of 8 community service hours a quarter or you do not receive AED cords when graduating - Fall Quarter 3 minimum - Required to attend at least 2 meetings a quarter and or 50% of the meetings

* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.

Meeting times and location

Tuesdays or Thursdays at 6 PM in 328 CTLH
