Student Organizations

Purpose

The objectives of AIChE will be to promote the professional development of its members through its programs and its relations with other student organizations and professional industries and to contribute to the development of Chemical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University through activities involving faculty and student members.

Membership requirements

Undergraduate students at Louisiana Tech University may apply for membership to AIChE. Membership in AIChE will result from paying the necessary fees. Fees are $15 for one year or $30 for four years. Any Student who has claimed who claims Chemical Engineering as a major may become a member of AIChE and run for executive council. Any student who does not claim Chemical Engineering may still be a member of AIChE but will not be able to run for executive council.

* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.

Meeting times and location

Typically meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month in IESB.
