Habitat for Humanity
Purpose
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the United States and in more than 70 countries around the world. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward our vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with people and families in need of a decent and affordable home. Louisiana Tech University’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity (H4H) aims is to serve the Ruston and Monroe communities by providing assistance to individuals, families, churches, schools and organizations. As a ministry, LATech’s Habitat for Humanity hopes to transform and improve communities on a smaller scale by giving back to the communities which have shaped us. In comparison to our National chapter, our role is to develop beautification of the environment, preservation of local institutions and resources for future generations to come. Our main focus is to provide support to those in need, while creating a lasting and positive impact on those we reach with the love of Christ.
