Human Development & Family Science Association
Purpose
The HDFS Association will strive to serve those on our campus, in our community and within our major. We will work and serve in order to better improve the lives of children, youth and families everywhere we go. Through service projects and educational events, HDFS Association will build community with all that we are able. All members of HDFS Association will work diligently and strive to stimulate growth within our program. The HDFS Association's recognition will support the mission of the University because it is an academic-based organization that will strive for excellence within its program and will build relationships through service within our community.
Membership requirements
Membership shall be open to any enrolled student majoring or minoring in Human Development & Family Science at Louisiana Tech University. Membership shall be granted to those who are currently enrolled at Louisiana Tech University and must be in good standing with the University. Members shall be added to the roster of the organization and allowed to partake in HDFS activities as soon as interest is expressed. Membership within the HDFS Association shall be open to all students without regard to race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other classification protected by law, so that all members at all times are treated with dignity and respect.
* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
Meeting times and location
3 meetings per quarter at 4:00pm on Thursdays in WOOH 205
