Student Organizations

Purpose

The purpose of IEEE shall be to stimulate interest in the field of electrical engineering and to encourage those students to seek knowledge in today’s technological advancements.

Membership requirements

The members shall strive to implement the values promoted by scholarships and good citizenship by rendering services and contributions to Louisiana Tech University and the city of Ruston, Louisiana. Active members are required to pay dues annually and attend at least one IEEE event per quarter. University GPA Requirements * All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
