International Student Association
Purpose
The primary purpose of this organization shall be to build friendship and a cross cultural understanding between international and American students at Louisiana Tech University, as envisaged in the broad goal, “Peace through Understanding.” Additionally, the ISAis responsible for coordinating international events throughout the year. The Secondary purposes include: • Aiding foreign students at Louisiana Tech University to adjust to American culture, tradition, and way of life. • Promoting friendship and understanding among college students on campus, through cross-cultural communications. • Encourage American students to learn as much as possible about foreign cultures. • In all good faith, to uphold the standards of Louisiana Tech University, Ruston. • The members shall strive to implement ideals of scholarship, citizenship, and leadership by rendering services and making contributions to Louisiana Tech University.
Membership requirements
Membership shall be composed of active, inactive, and alumni members. All officers and voting members shall be currently enrolled full-time students of Louisiana Tech University. Membership in the ISA is open without restrictions as to race, color, religion, sex, or nationality. Minimum of 2.5 for executive members
* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
