KLPI provides entertaining and informative programming to University students, faculty, employees, and the community. It aims to stimulate interest in radio as a communication medium and to offer diverse working experiences to students.
Members must complete a quarterly competency test that assesses their booth operations knowledge in order to remain on the air. Members who do not want to be on the air must attend two staffs each week led by executive members. To be elected as an executive member, one must have prior experience in specific staffs, depending on the position, as detailed in the constitution. All members must sign a membership agreement form that signifies they understand the constitution and all the rules and regulations they must follow.
* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
