Purpose

The purpose of LSPS is to advocate, educate, and engage those who are interested in the surveying discipline here at LA Tech. we will host various companies throughout the year to make our members aware of any job opportunities that are available as well as connecting with fellow licensed surveyors. Along with these goals we plan on hosting and performing many acts of service to our Ruston community who we feel have given so much to us here at Tech. LSPS will work to uphold the values of the University through its commitment to public service and workforce development. We do not discriminate on any basis and will advocate for those who are interested in the surveying discipline to better themselves and their community. The purpose of LSPS is advocate, engage, and educate those interested in the surveying discipline at LA Tech through connecting with industry professionals and attending conferences. We also strive to uphold ourselves to a higher standard through ethics and public service.

Membership requirements

Members of LSPS are expected to uphold all of the University policies and procedures. They are expected to uphold the ethics of the professional surveyor.

* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
