Louisiana Tech Spirit Groups
Purpose
The purpose of the Louisiana Tech University Spirit Groups shall be to promote school spirit and traditions, compete in Camp and National Competitions; and to do public relation work for the University. The members shall strive to implement the ideals of scholarship, citizenship, and leadership by rendering services and making contributions to Louisiana Tech University.
Membership requirements
Membership shall be composed of active members. All officers and voting members shall be currently enrolled students at Louisiana Tech University. Membership in Louisiana Tech University Spirit Groups is open without restriction as to race, creed, sex, or national origin. All members must go through a tryout process with qualified judges and/or coaches. Active members shall be members in good standing, elected, and inducted as prescribed by the bylaws. Active membership shall be for the period of time that a student is selected as a Spirit Group member. To be considered for active membership in the society, a student must have made no less that a 2.3 GPA based on hours pursued. Qualifications for active membership shall be scholarship, service, leadership, school spirit, and athletic ability. Members will be elected by a panel of judges and/or coaches as openings become available.
* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
Meeting times and location
Monday and Wednesday practices at 4:30pm in the Lambright Red gym.
