Student Organizations

Purpose

The purpose of this organization is to teach and promote the advanced fundamental skills of volleyball and aim to represent Louisiana Tech University in all travel events in and out of state.

Membership requirements

Representation of the University will not only be conducted through good morals and high standards, but also in physical appearance and behaviors as well. All members of the club are required to wear the uniforms designated for the year in question. This includes not only game-jerseys, but also warm-ups, practice jerseys, and travel jerseys as well. Uniforms are to be worn for all official, non-official, and any practice scrimmages scheduled throughout the year. In order to be an official member of this team, each member must have an advanced understanding and skill set of the sport, have membership dues paid in full before the second official week of practice, attend 90% of all mandatory practices during season, and uphold all Louisiana Tech University rules. Players shall only be eligible to play in official tournaments and scrimmages if and only if he is a student at Louisiana Tech University who is currently enrolled at least 6 hours as an undergraduate or 2/3 of full-time enrollment as a graduate student. 2.2. All potential members of the club shall participate in a pre-season tryout clinic in which shall be evaluated by the current coach (if one is elected) and/or senior members and officials of the current season. * All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.

Meeting times and location

We have practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm-9:00pm and Sundays from 2:00pm-5:00pm in the Lambright Sports & Wellness Center
