Student Organizations

Purpose

The mission of the Pre-Dental Society is to prepare interested Louisiana Tech students for a career in dentistry. While continuously promoting fellowship between students, we strive to inform students on various aspects of the application process, opportunities in the field of dentistry, and service to the community.

Membership requirements

To remain an active member in Pre-Dental Society, each member must attend at least 9 meetings a year (3/quarter), obtain 10 service hours (5 within PDS), alongside attending percentage nights and donation drives the club will host this upcoming year. Dues: returning members $20 and new members $25 Meetings: 9 meeting (3/quarter) and 2 speaker meetings Service: 10 service hours (5 within PDS) Philanthropy: 2 percentage nights and 2 donation drives Social Events: 1 social event Attire: PDS Club Shirt and appropriate bottoms when a speaker is present The goals and expectations for the upcoming school year are to grow the organization’s membership and presence on LA Tech’s campus through community service projects and social events.

* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
