Sanctified Voices Gospel Choir
Purpose
The mission of the Sanctified Voices should be to promote unity among members and the community through praise, worship, and fellowship. To lift and encourage through cultural African American gospel song.
Membership requirements
A member of Sanctified Voices must meet one of the categories: I. Active Members a. Members shall be enrolled at Louisiana Tech University/ or approved university. b. Member is not inactive. c. Member has voting rights. II. Inactive Members a. Active Member who receives a leave of absence for one quarter due to personal or school purposes. b. Permission to receive inactive status must be granted quarterly by Vice-President and cannot be granted during two consecutive quarters. c. Inactive member are allowed to attend events and programs but must attend practices in correlation with event/program d. Inactive members revoke their rights to vote. III. Lifetime/Alumni Members a. Active members of Sanctified Voices who have served at least five (5) active good-standing quarters or members by graduation can no longer be active b. Member retain all active rights except voting c. Members may participate in events/program if they attend necessary practice. IV. Special Guest members Sanctified Voices Gospel Choir Constitution 7 a. Members shall only consist if those temporarily assisting or performing with the choir for event/program purposes. b. Members must be invited by an active member with the approval of the president. c. Members must be documented as special guest by the secretary in attendance.
* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
