Student Organizations

Purpose

The Society shall recognize and encourage excellence, among undergraduate and graduate students, in all aspects of English language, literature, and the many closely-related fields, including literacy initiatives.

Membership requirements

For membership, candidates do NOT have to be majoring in English; however, they need to have completed a minimum of two college courses in English language or literature. They must also have a 3.0 GPA, and they must have completed at least five quarters of coursework.

* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
