Student Dietetic Association
Purpose
The purpose of the Student Dietetic Association shall be to acquaint students with all aspects of dietetics and nutrition. As dietetics and nutrition students, we shall evolve SDA into an essential and valuable resource to Louisiana Tech University and the Ruston community through our leadership, service, and education roles. The members shall strive to implement the ideals of scholarship, citizenship, and leadership by rendering services and contributing to Louisiana Tech University and the Ruston community.
Membership requirements
Active members will be accepted into the Student Dietetic Association for the first 2 weeks of every quarter. Active members shall be members in good standing and inducted as prescribed by the bylaws. Active membership shall be for the period of time that a student pursues an undergraduate degree at Louisiana Tech University. Those students who graduate and enroll for graduate credit at Louisiana Tech University may continue active membership for the remainder of that school year. Active members must attend every meeting held during the quarter. Active members must participate in at least 5 hours of nutrition related volunteer events each quarter, 3 of which must be served in the campus food pantry. Membership Fees- $15.00 T-shirt included!
* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
