Student Nurses Association
Purpose
SNA is a professional organization for nursing and pre-nursing students at Louisiana Tech University. The Louisiana Tech chapter is a constituent of the Louisiana Association of Student Nurses (LASN) and also the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA). Louisiana Tech SNA is committed to contributing to nursing education, developing, and encouraging advocacy to the community through service, aiding in the development of the whole person, his/her professional role, and provides support and guidance to all students in the pursuit of a nursing degree.
Membership requirements
Students enrolled in the undergraduate nursing and pre-nursing program of Louisiana Tech are eligible for voluntary membership in the LTSNA upon payment of dues to the NSNA. There are no special memberships such as alumni, associate, or inactive members. Active members: In order to obtain cords at graduation, members must have a current NSNA membership since Nursing 210, attend 50% of meetings and complete 6 hours of community service each school year, from September to May.
* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
