Student Organizations

Purpose

The WBA's purpose is to promote, facilitate, and grow a network of young businesswomen and men interested in learning about the common barriers women face in the business world. It is to provide business-minded students with the background and network to support them in their professional endeavors, to foster student's interest in business, commerce, and academia, to connect students with faculty, alumni, and professionals with related experience in all business fields that could provide insight and guidance for students, and to advocate equality for women in the workplace through awareness, activism, education, and empowerment.

Membership requirements

Women in Business Association is looking for students who are passionate, inquisitive, and growth oriented. Our organization is a resource, not a commitment. There will be very little mandatory meetings and events. Instead we require members to obtain a minimum of 8 engagement points a quarter. These engagement points are achieved in a verity of ways such as but not limited to: attending socials, attending professional events, engaging with our social media, tabling, and engaging in school sponsored events.

* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.

Every Other Wednesday at 6 pm in the College of Business
