Student Organizations

Purpose

The purpose of this chapter is to help women in computer science or cyber engineering find a community and encourage them to stay in the cybersecurity field by offering tutoring, networking, volunteer opportunities, and mentorship to underclassmen as well as participating in community outreach events.

Membership requirements

A member is a student who attends a minimum of 2 meetings a quarter, is a member of the official Women in Cybersecurity discord, and volunteers for a minimum of one event representing WiCyS a year.

* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.

Meeting times and location

Weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the IESB 212
