Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE)
Purpose
The purpose of this organization shall be to: promote the computing and information disciplines and encourage their contribution to the enhancement of knowledge.
Membership requirements
Members are expected to meet high standards for minimum grade requirements, and they must rank in the upper 35% of Computer Science and Cyber Engineering majors. Members must also continue to achieve a minimum amount of services hours per quarter in support of the Computer Science and Cyber Engineering community here at Louisiana Tech. To be eligible for election to membership, undergraduate students must rank in the upper 35% of the class, attain at least 3.0/4.0 GPA, and complete at least 45 semester hours of college work including fifteen (15) semester hours or twenty-three (23) quarter hours in the basic courses in the CS/CYEN curriculum.
* All student organizations have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for general membership and 2.5 for Executive Officers.
Meeting times and location
Monthly meetings in IESB or Nethken Hall.
